Teachers Mentoring Teachers |

The Director of Edumentor International makes final selections from the volunteer list. Careful selection is made to match host schools and volunteers so that a successful partnership makes the experience positive for both parties. |
They will be looking to see whether you are putting in adequate preparation time for lessons and class work. They want to see children's work displayed attractively and that you are making creative use of local materials for your displays and lessons. They will be looking for creativity and hard work. |
Recommendations for your name to go on the list is made by your local Education Director to Mr. Ken Weslake or Dr David McClintock. Either Mr. Weslake or Dr. McClintock will visit you in your school and assess your teaching. If satisfied they will then add you to the volunteer list. Once on the list you need to send your resume to Director@EduMentorInt.org and apply for selection.

Yes, you will have the normal school holidays available to “look around” at the country you are in. There will be two weeks at Christmas and another week at Spring break in March. Once the school year ends in June you can plan on a month of free time before you need to leave for home. This time needs to be worked out with your host family to fit in with their arrangements. |
